Your privacy, in plain English

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which events get the most interest, which pages are useful, and what we can improve. It shows us things like the pages you visit, how you found us (a search, Facebook, a link), your general area (city or region), and your device and browser type.

Google Analytics uses cookies to tell new visitors from returning ones. The reports we see are aggregated. We don't see your name or contact information, and Google Analytics doesn't store IP addresses. Google handles this data under the Google Privacy Policy (see also how Google uses information from sites that use its services).

To opt out, install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block cookies for this site in your browser settings, or use a content blocker. The site works the same either way.

The submit form doesn't send anything by itself. It opens an email in your own mail app for you to review and send. We use what you send to list your event and to follow up if we have questions. Event details you submit may be published. Your name, email and phone number won't be, unless you ask us to list them as the event contact.

If you email us about a featured spot or anything else, we'll only use your message to reply.

Like almost every website, our web server keeps short-term technical logs (IP address, browser type, page requested and time) to keep the site running and secure. We don't use them for marketing.

Event pages link to venues, Facebook pages, ticket sites and Google Maps. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you click through.

This site is a general-audience community calendar and isn't directed at children under 13.
